A Vigil Service

A Vigil Service to mark the Centenary of the end of the Great War Saturday Evening 1oth November 2018 6pm at St James the Great, Silsoe

On the eve of the centenary of the end of the First World War this is a quiet reflective service of Bible readings and silences amongst the candle lit church. We gather at this evening hour to recall the armistice that marked the beginning of the end of the First World War one hundred years ago. We look back in sorrow for all those who suffered injury and loss; we recall those who are suffering in conflicts in our world today, and we look forward to that day when the kingdoms of this world will be ordered by God’s peaceable reign’A Vigil Service
